Here are a few tips about the care and use of your 63% shade polyproplyene shade cover.
Our shade cover is a durable product but can be damaged by excessive tugging and pulling over corners and sharp edges.
Use with care when installing.
When not in use, clean the cover and place in a box and store in a cool, dry place.
A shade cover is normally used from spring until late fall, then removed. If your plants require shade year round, leave the cover in place. In the event of snow, ice, sleet, or if it is in the forecast, remove the cover immediately. Frozen precipitation will stick and collect on the cover, which adds tremendous stress and can result in structural damage to your greenhouse.
Shading on the outside of your greenhouse is most efficient in lowering temperature on the inside of your greenhouse.
To improve efficiency further, we highly recommend eave support brackets for the shade cover. This improves air circulation between the cover and the greenhouse exterior while helping the inside of the greenhouse stay cooler. By reducing direct
sunlight much of the year, the life expectancy of the covering is extended.
